Wound Care Program
Individualized would care treatment plans are developed in conjunction with a consulting Wound Care Physician, Wound Care Nurse, Registered Dietician and Physical Therapist. Our specialized team uses Shortwave Diathermy Therapy and Electrical Stimulation treatments in collaboration with Adjunctive Wound Therapy. These advanced techniques accelerate healing, manage pain and improve recovery time from chronic wounds that are not healing by other traditional methods.

Respite Care Program
The support required to care for a loved one at home can be physically challenging and emotionally exhausting. At Amberwoods of Farmington, we offer a short-stay respite care program. Our respite care program is designed to provide short-term relief for the caregiver or for short-term placement while the caregiver is traveling. Plan to use our respite care program before you become overwhelmed and exhausted. Families can be comforted knowing that their loved one is receiving 24-hour skilled nursing care and supervision, while enjoying the opportunity to socialize and participate in recreational activities.

Customized dining enhances our program with a focus on hydration and nutrition. Fresh, appetizing cuisine is presented in an eye appealing manner to stimulate the appetite. Our nutritionally balanced meals are also available for patients who require pureed, ground or mechanically altered diets.
Media enhanced memory activities such as music, radio, television and various word games can help to facilitate a resident’s long-term memory.
Pet and nature therapies complement our therapeutic activities. Our secure courtyard allows our Memory Unit residents to enjoy the outdoors safely as they participate in socials and gardening.
